Bridal Shower Weekend

My mom and two sisters, Melissa and Laura, threw me a really
nice bridal shower at Melissa's home in Maplewood. I got to see
all my relatives and spend the afternoon with my bridesmaids
over some mimosas! It made me so excited for the big day!

New Home

Jason and I are moving into a new home March 27!! As you can see, we are so excited to get into a place of our own that we can call home. It's been fun watching the constuction go up and our color schemes come to life.

The downhill ski season has been a slow one so far this Winter. I picked up new skis last year and have only used them three times, but from what I understand there is more snow on the way!

I was able to make it out with my future brother-in-law Michael for an afternoon last month which was a lot of fun. We took a few pics and video and I was able to put a little something together with the help of my production team. Check it out!!

A Tribute to Jake

Jake came to the Soyring Family in the Spring of 1995.
He was such an incredible addition to the family.
I was alway excited to see him when I would come home
from Winona.



He quickly became a great hunting dog and was a very
fast learner. We took many treks through the Tamarack
National Wildlife Refuge together and he would always be
sitting by the truck ready to go. Somehow he just knew.

Jake always had a soft spot for our cat Jasmine, although I'm
convinced that she used to beat him up when no one was looking.



Jake was continually looking for attention and would always
nudge his head underneath your hand to get some extra petting
time in. He was a big softy but could act pretty tough when it
came to protecting the house. He will be irreplaceable.

Meet the Flicek Family

I realize that this post may seem a bit outdated considering these are Christmas pictures, but I thought that it would be a nice opportunity for people to meet the Flicek Family. Besides, this is a new toy and I wanted to play a little bit so bear with me.

These photos were taken this past Christmas. Meet Paul and Mary Flicek with little sister Laura in the middle. Also featuring brothers, John and Michael, and big sister Melissa. JP is holding Rocco who I am learning is a heralded part of the family dynamic. The grandbaby of the family is Sonja and she will be turning one year old on March 1. She was actually born on February 29, 2008 but we won't see another leap year until 2012 so March 1 it is. She took her first steps this past week and we are planning on having her walk down the isle as our flower girl in August. We'll have to wait and see how that goes. Either way she will be a wonderful addition to our wedding.
